Guild Rules:
1. Be supportive, respectful, and polite to guild members and to officers. We have all worked hard to keep the guild in the great shape it is in today. If you treat people the way you want to be treated, it maintains a positive atmosphere in the guild as a whole. As always, if a problem should arise, please talk to your class leader or to an officer if it cannot be handled in a friendly hospitable manner.
2. No spamming in trade or in guild chats. Remember, this is your guild's name and not only does spamming and other negative behavior affect the recruitment of new members, it adds fire and ammunition to those players who resent and are bitter of the awesome cohesive and friendly environment we've successfully created. It is important to the founders and to the members that we act in such a way that upholds our integrity. We do not permit members to sell to others in the guild as family members (mostly) do not sell things to each other. If you can't afford to part with it, please don't ask members to purchase it from you: we are not your personal auction house.
3. Please give the respect to the officers that they deserve: they are appointed these positions for a reason, and in turn they will show you the same respect back.
4. There is absolutely no tolerance for bigotry, racism, sexism, ageism, or anything that indirectly touches on these topics. If you feel like you have to be immature, go find another guild. We have members from all walks of life in this guild and we are proud of being such an inclusive community.
5.We really should not have to expressly state this as a rule, but stealing from the bank is not permitted and will almost always result in an immediate censure or ban. This means you do not take all that you can from the guild bank and just sell it on the Auction House (either directly or on an alt). The guild bank is there for a community trade system among guild members - if you need it and can use it, then you can take it. Otherwise, leave it in the bank. Please be honest with your fellow guildies.
6. Learn to look it up if nobody answers your question the first time or the 5th. It is 99% likely that we do not know the answer or have since forgotten it. Please look up your question on the myriad of databases available to you in the internet - thottbot, alkahazam or wowwiki - it causes too much interruption and annoyance to see a slew of questions in guild chat that easily can be researched.
7. There will be no harming the guild's reputation in any way and anyone's rank can be changed in our discretion without discussion based on your public actions. There is only room for one noob in the guild
8. The guild currently only accepts members who are age 18 and older. This is to ensure that every member possesses the level of maturity that we have come to expect in the guild and that is an integral component of our raiding. We understand that many individuals who are younger than 18 possess the maturity, consideration and skills that we are looking for; however, we find it is more fair to impose a non-discretionary blanket cut-off age rather than subject each applicant to individual and, perhaps, inconsistent review. Individuals who are younger than 18 as of 1/09 are grandfathered members of Exiles and continue to enjoy the benefits of membership. Exceptions to the minimum-age rule may be made for immediate family members of existing guild members.
I think one guild said it- if you suck we don't want you, they meant performance- well personally if your attitude sucks, you can leave right now. We dont want you.
On the other hand, if you have a great personality, high emotional maturity and are a good player, it sounds like you'd fit in.
