Exiles Raiding Rules
Our guild is curently emphasizing 25-man WoltK raids. Uldar 25 is our current focus. We raid on Weds, Thurs and Sunday. Invites go out at 8 and first pull is before 8:30.

The basic organization of the 25 member raid is going to be based on a set of Core Raiders and an Alternate Raider pool of approxamately 15. This will give the raid an excellent chance of success based on a solid consistant core with the flexability of bringing in the needed classes for specific raid requirements and covering those members that have commitments and cannot make the raid times.

Core Raiders will have a guild rank of Core Raider. These positions will be based on seniority, ability, commitment and availability. The Alternatives Raiders will have a rank of Raider. These will be also based on seniority, ability, commitment and availability. The final decision will be based on the need of the raid as determined by the Raid Leader. Note: Officers of the guild will not automatically be raiders.

If for a raid there are not enough of a needed class, the rest of the guild will be asked to fill in the needed postions.

Raid Rules

For ALL Raiders
Every Raider is required to have:

Vent with a microphone

Omen addon (threat meter)
Deadly Boss Mods or Big Wigs addon (raid warnings)

Damage Meters are not to be posted to any channel besides whispers. Damage meters do not take into account the situation requirements and can be misleading. They are a tool for officers to assess skills.

Members are required to read up on the strategies for the raids. Comments on the strategies are encouraged on the forums prior to the run. Alternative methods can be debated easily and thoughly in this way, unlike DURING the raid.

All comsumables, reagents etc. have be purchased and or aquired and all gear is to be fully repaired BEFORE invites. During the raid it is expected the members can afford to repair and replenish supplies as needed.

Members are expected to be available for the ENTIRE RUN.

During the run, strategy adjustments or ideas will be directed to the raid ONLY by the Raid Leader. If requested, suggestions will be accepted from the raid members. The alteration of tactics will be done by the Raid Leader only. Repeated comments or "insistance/must" comments are considered harassment. Harrassment for any reason of the Raid Leader or any Raid member can result in your immediate removal from the raid. The guild members should not be whispering the Raid member during a run. The Raid Leader should not be bothered during a run. All concerns about raiding must be directed to the Raid Leader and NOT THE GUILD MASTER.

Vent is to be "cleared" before each pull and during an encounter. Please use the Vent channel for "information" concerning the encounter only. Again this is about having fun and during "down time", vent is available to everyone.

There is to be no personal attacks or acusations in public i.e. over vent or raid chat. Try to resolve the problem in private. If the problem cannot be resolved contact the Raid Leader about the issue. If something has to be addressed in public the Raid Leader will address the raid concerning the issue.

After runs, please consult with the Raid leader about difficulties, personel problems, strategy, gear and loot if nessasary. THIS IS NOT TO BE DONE DURING A RAID!

The Raid Leader will be assessing the results of the raid and may address any individuals concerning the members conduct, actions or abilites during the raid. This will be done in private, with the class officer or Guild Master in attendence at the Raid Leader's discretion.

For Core Raiders
Signing up for Raids is not required. Core members are expected to be at EVERY raid. If they are not going to be available they must post on the forums the times they are not available for each raid. Raiding is expensive and Core members are expected to be able to repair and update thier gear as needed.

On raid night, Core Raiders must be online and out of any group a minimum 10 minutes before invites.

For Alternatives
Alternative Raiders must sign up indicating availability for the scheduled raid. The number of positions and roles available will be posted with the raid.

For the Guild
Do not bother the members of the raid. They are busy with thier raid. This includes any officers of the guild in the raid. If there is something that can not wait till the end of the raid, whipser the Raid Leader FIRST and the Raid Leader will contact the Raider in question.

Raid night
At invite time the raid leader will decide on who from the Alternative Pool will fill the needed positions. Please be prepared for the run EVEN IF YOU DOUBT YOU WILL BE GOING. Failing to be prepared will diminish your chances for future invites or advancment.

Alternative raiders will be whispered to ONCE if in a group at invite time. Failing to leave a group immediately will result in the member being bypassed for this run. The total time for invites will be less then 10 minutes (approx), so be prepared.

Advancement

Alternative Raiders will have a chance at advancement any time there is a empty Core Raiding spot available. The Alternative Raider must meed the minimum requirements fro Gruuls/Zul'Aman. The Raid Leader will be the final arbitrator for the placement of a new Core Raider. The Raid Leader will consult with the Class Officer and will be basing the decision on the senoirity, activity, availablilty, suitability and dedication of the member .

Veterns will have a chance at advancement when there is an opening in the Alternative Raider pool. The Vetern must meed the minimum requirements for Karazhan before they will be considered for the Alternative Raider pool. The Raid Leader will indicate to the Class Officer(s) that there is an opening and the role required. The Class Officer will then suggest a suitable candidate. The Class Officer with direction from the Raid Leader and Guild Master will then promote this member.

Advancement (be it Alternative Raider, or Core Raider) is based on senority, ability, availability, dedication and activity within the guild and minimum gear requirements.

Discipline

Discipline will be based on the severity of the case.

Simple minor problems will be address with a meeting of the member involved and the Raid Leader (other officers may be invited as needed). Usually an apology or some small remedy will suffice as punishment.

Serious issues will be discussed privately between the Officers involved and the Raid Leader first. Then the member will be asked to explain the situation after this consultation. The Raid Leader will then determing the best course of action to be taken. This process may result in either a temporary suspension of Raiding or Demotion of the member found to be guilty of a serious offence. Some examples of serious offence: Disrespect of the Raid Leader or Guild Officers, Abandoning a run WITHOUT NOTICE, harassment of any guild member, deliberate sabotauge of a raid.

All members have a right to be heard! but must follow the chain of command. The first to be contacted about Raid issuses is the Raid Leader, If they are not satisfied they can then contact thier Class Officer. After consulting thier Class Officer and still not feeling they have not recieved a satisfactory resolution, then they can contact Guild Master. If a memeber does not follow this chain they WILL BE DEMOTED.

Final Note
As Raid Leader I am hoping everyone has an enjoyable successful raid and I am working dillegently to achieve these results. Raiding is about having fun and facing the challenging end game content. Sometimes this can be frustrating but remember, every member of the raid is a person, treat them with respect and enjoy the game :)
